Dr Broad graduated from the University of Alberta in 1976 and began Neurosurgical Practice in 1983.
He is the Surgical Director of the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit, Director of the Complex Spine Programme at the University of Alberta, and Surgical Director of the University of Alberta Pituitary Programme.
His areas of surgical interest include Trigeminal Neuralgia, Anterior Skull Base surgery, Pituitary disease, Cervical myelopathy, and Complex Spine surgery.
He is President of the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff Association, a member of the Provincial Physician’s Executive Council, a member Provincial Physician’s Liaison Form, a member of the Clinical Zone Leaders Council, a member of the Edmonton Zone Medical Advisory Council and a member of the Alberta Medical Association Representative Form.
He is Immediate Past President of the Canadian Spine Society.
