Richard Fox

Dr. Fox is a graduate of University of Toronto Medical School (1991), and went on to complete both a rotating internship and Neurosurgical Residency at the University of Alberta. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Neurosurgery) in 1997.

He then went on to complete a Fellowship in Spinal Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1998, prior to returning to Edmonton as Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery at the University of Alberta.

Dr. Fox's Clinical Interests lie in Complex Spinal Surgery, operating at both the Royal Alexandra and University of Alberta Hospitals. He is the past President of the Canadian Spine Society, and former Secretary of the Alberta Neurosurgical Society. He has been actively involved as an instructor in advanced spinal techniques within the Canadian Neurosurgical Community.

His research interests include spinal cord injury, hydrocephalus, and surgical equipment design.
